At TP in Greece, our commitment to putting people first goes beyond business. This year, for the 7th consecutive year, we proudly supported the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer, “Alma Zois,” as the official Volunteers’ Sponsor of the Greece Race for the Cure 2024.

Our participation in this important cause is a heartfelt tribute to the brave women who have faced breast cancer and a determined effort to raise funds to help eliminate the disease.

Learn More About TP’s Support for the Greece Race for the Cure

Our involvement with the Greece Race for the Cure aligns with our values of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. We are dedicated to supporting initiatives that raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and contribute to a healthier future for all.

Celebrating the Impact of “Alma Zois”

Founded in 1988 by women who had themselves battled breast cancer, the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer, “Alma Zois,” has been a guiding light for countless women in Greece. All members, including volunteers and the Board of Directors, are survivors, which fuels their passion and dedication to their cause.

“Alma Zois” focuses on 4 key pillars: prevention, early detection, patient empowerment, and psychosocial support. Through their efforts, they work towards a world where breast cancer no longer claims lives.

Empowering Communities Through the Race for the Cure

The Greece Race for the Cure is part of a global movement to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and honor those lost to breast cancer. The event includes 5K runs, 2K walks, and a host of other activities designed to unite communities and fund essential research and support programs. From live music and entertainment to powerful speeches from survivors, every element aims to inspire and bring people together in the fight against breast cancer.

TP Employees ran, walked, and volunteered

At TP in Greece, we encouraged our employees to participate in the Greece Race for the Cure 2024 in whichever way they felt most inspired. Employees could choose to run, walk, or volunteer to help ensure the event’s success.

Special Collaboration with Marathon Winner Vasiliki Konstantinopoulou

Our team was thrilled to collaborate with Vasiliki Konstantinopoulou this year, an inspiring marathon winner, cancer survivor, and a symbol of courage. Vasiliki joined us at our booth, which we shared with volunteers.

We had the opportunity to hear her story and ask her questions about her journey. She was an inspiration to us all! It was a truly special day.

The response was overwhelming, with hundreds of our team members stepping up to take part. Their passion, whether on the racecourse or behind the scenes, highlighted the power of community and reminded us of the impact we can make when we come together for a cause.

Our Ongoing Commitment to a Greater Cause

For us, being a part of the Greece Race for the Cure reflects our commitment to giving back to society and improving the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Standing alongside “Alma Zois,” Vasiliki Konstantinopoulou, and thousands of others, we renew our dedication to this fight every year.
