More Than a Game: Football & Goalball at TP Greece

DiversityHealth and Well-BeingTP Football Tournament

At TP Greece, we believe that sport is more than just a game, it’s a celebration of teamwork, diversity, and inclusion. That’s why this summer, we brought together our talented teams for the TP Football Tournament Athens Final, a day of energy, excitement, and connection.

But this event was about more than football. In true TP spirit, we took things a step further merging fun, fitness, and awareness through a one-of-a-kind Goalball experience led by Paralympic Champion Makis Kalaras.

Building Team Spirit Through Football

Our teams showed off their skills and sportsmanship in a thrilling football final that brought together colleagues from across departments. The pitch was full of friendly competition, shared laughs, and standout moments, a true reminder of the power of sport to build bonds and lift spirits.

Inclusion in Action: Experiencing Goalball

To celebrate diversity and raise awareness about disability inclusion, we introduced something special: Goalball, a Paralympic sport designed for individuals with visual impairments.

Our employees took part in 15-minute games guided by professionals, no experience needed! With eyes covered and senses heightened, participants relied on sound, teamwork, and communication to score goals.

Guided by Makis Kalaras, Paralympic medalist, the experience opened minds and hearts. It was more than a game, it was a lesson in trust, collaboration, and empathy.

After the Final Whistle

As the day came to an end, we came together to celebrate the winning team, enjoy delicious pizza and soft drinks, and reflect on a truly meaningful day.

Whether on the pitch or on the goalball court, this event brought our teams closer, reminding us that everyone belongs, and every voice matters at TP.

Why It Matters

At TP Greece, we champion health, happiness, and human connection. Sports help us stay active, reduce stress, and grow stronger together, both physically and as a team.

And when sports become a platform for inclusion and awareness? That’s when it becomes something truly powerful.
