Citizen of the World: Our Global CSR Program

At TP Greece, our mission is to operate sustainably, improve people’s lives, and create strong, meaningful connections with all our stakeholders. Caring for our communities is at the heart of everything we do

Citizen of the World (COTW), established by TP in 2006, is our flagship TP CSR initiative designed to support local communities—especially vulnerable children and their families. The program aims to:

  • Make TP’s charitable actions systematic and inclusive

  • Align efforts with local needs

  • Encourage employees, clients, and partners to contribute

  • Strengthen pride, loyalty, and engagement across our teams

At TP Greece, we focus on empowering local organizations, advancing workforce development and education, and fostering a strong culture of corporate responsibility. Through our TP CSR actions and the Citizen of the World program, we continue to drive meaningful, positive change in the communities we serve.

TP CSR INITIATIVES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Citizen of the Planet: Taking care of our planet for a greener tomorrow

At TP Greece, minimizing our environmental impact is a top priority. Through Citizen of the Planet (COTP), our global TP CSR initiative launched in 2008, we ensure that TP operates responsibly and sustainably.

We improve our facilities to create sustainable sites, promote recycling, and incentivize energy and environmental improvements. Our sites are encouraged to continuously enhance their impact on local ecosystems.

Committed to a sustainable future, we have set targets based on SBTi and pledged to achieve net zero emissions by 2040. To reach this goal, we adopt renewable energy, implement energy efficiency measures, and engage employees and the public through climate awareness and education campaigns.

UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative of the United Nations to align businesses with human rights, labor, environmental, and anti-corruption principles. It is a commitment that ensures markets, commerce, technology, and finance advance to benefit economies and societies worldwide. Since 2011, TP has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact. In this context, our company commits to the principles defined in the areas of human rights, international labor standards, environment, and anti-corruption. 

REDUCED INEQUALITIES TP treats everyone as unique. By recruiting people from vulnerable communities and ensuring no discrimination in its operations, the Group aims to reduce inequalities among employees. Each interaction is an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. By providing underrepresented and vulnerable services to people with access to such advantages. TP reduces inequalities outside its own organization.
NO POVERTY By offering a decent and long-term job to more than 400,000 people, particularly in developing countries and regions with a high level of unemployment (e.g. India, Philippines, Tunisia, Madagascar, South Africa), TP contributes to eliminating poverty. The Group pursues inclusive policy (to offer job opportunities to individuals who normally have difficulty finding employment: women, young people, vulnerable groups).
GENDER EQUALITY Having established an even gender balance among the workforce and in management positions, TP has set its sights on increasing the proportion of women in governing bodies, thereby promoting women’s leadership at a global level. TP Women initiative: TP helps promote women’s employment in developing countries.
DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH More people in decent jobs means stronger and more inclusive economic growth. As a major employer in several developing countries, TP helps to fight unemployment and poverty by offering a decent job and providing an occupational safety, social protection and a career path even in times of crisis.
CLIMATE ACTION TP has committed to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) by setting bold greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement objectives.
